Process for Customer adding a card to Chargify

When we receive a Chargify Email that has the content…  “will be charged for the estimated amount due of”:

  • This means the customer has entered a credit card in Chargify. 

  • The card will be charged on the free trial end date

  • This email will be received 3 days before the free trial end date

Perform the following steps:

  • In the Bryt Admin site:

    • Set the free trial end date in Bryt to the actual end date + 10 days…  this allows the account to stay “active” and not “expire” on the due date

  • In Salesforce:

    • Add a “Next Follow-up Date” of “Free Trial End Date” + 1

    • Add a “Next Follow-up Step” = “Free Trial Expires X/XX/XXXX - Paid? - Convert to Customer

On the day following the free trial end date, check if the card was processed

  • If YES, convert free trial to paid customer

  • If NO. Expire the free trial
